Sprayed, not brushed
Cabinets sit at eye level and get touched constantly, so brush marks show in a way they never would on a wall. We spray the finish coats for a smooth, even surface.
Houston, TX
Cabinet painting and refinishing is the process of cleaning, sanding, priming and spraying your existing kitchen or bathroom cabinets to a new finish, without tearing them out. Professional cabinet refinishing with us starts at $3,799, against roughly $10,000 to $25,000 or more to replace a kitchen’s cabinets outright — so for most Houston kitchens with sound boxes it delivers the visual change of a remodel at a fraction of the cost.

Replacing a kitchen’s cabinets outright commonly runs $10,000 to $25,000 or more, depending on kitchen size, cabinet quality, layout, countertops and installation. Refinishing gives you the transformation without that bill.
The replacement range is a general market comparison, not a quote from us.
Your final number depends on:
What it is
Cabinet refinishing keeps the cabinet boxes and doors you already have and gives them an entirely new finish. Doors and drawer fronts come off, hardware comes out, everything gets cleaned, deglossed and sanded, then primed and sprayed to a smooth, factory-like finish.
It is the right call when the boxes are structurally sound and the layout works, which is most kitchens. If your cabinets are falling apart or you want a different footprint, replacement is the honest answer and we will tell you so.
How we do it
We look at the cabinets with you first, check that the boxes are sound, and talk through finish and sheen. A cabinet surface gets touched every single day, so sheen matters more here than anywhere else in the house.
Then: doors, drawer fronts and hardware come off and get labeled, so everything goes back where it belongs. Every surface is cleaned of kitchen grease, deglossed and sanded. A bonding primer goes on, because standard wall primer will not hold on a cabinet face. Then the finish coats are sprayed rather than brushed, so there is no brush texture on a surface at eye level. Everything is reassembled and we walk it with you.
How we do it differently
Cabinets sit at eye level and get touched constantly, so brush marks show in a way they never would on a wall. We spray the finish coats for a smooth, even surface.
Kitchen cabinets carry years of cooking grease, and paint will not stick to it. Cleaning, deglossing and a bonding primer are what stop a cabinet finish peeling at the handles within a year.
If the boxes are failing or the layout is the actual problem, refinishing is the wrong purchase and we will say so. Selling you a finish on cabinets that need replacing helps nobody.
Every project is completed by our own in-house team. We do not use subcontractors, so the person who quotes your project is accountable for the crew that shows up to do it.

Common questions
Yes. We provide a 2-year workmanship warranty on our painting projects. If something we did is not holding up the way it should, we come back and put it right.
Our professional cabinet painting and refinishing starts at $3,799. Replacing a kitchen’s cabinets outright commonly runs $10,000 to $25,000 or more depending on size, cabinet quality, layout, countertops and installation, so refinishing usually delivers the same visual change for a fraction of it. Your final number depends on the size of the kitchen, the number of doors and drawers, the condition of the cabinets, how much prep is needed, whether interiors are included, and the coating system you choose. We put it in writing after we have seen the kitchen.
With the surface properly degreased and a bonding primer underneath, a sprayed cabinet finish holds up to daily kitchen use. Where cabinet paint jobs fail early is almost always preparation — grease left on the surface, or a primer that was never meant to bond to a cabinet face.
Partly. The boxes stay in place so you keep the sink and appliances, but the doors and drawer fronts are away from the work area while they are being finished, and you will be without cabinet doors for part of the project. We plan that sequence with you before we start.
Spray, for the finish coats. Cabinets sit at eye level and get handled every day, so brush texture shows. Spraying is what gives the smooth, factory-like surface people expect from a cabinet job.
We will tell you. If the boxes are coming apart, the doors are delaminating, or the real problem is the layout, then a finish is money spent on the wrong thing. Part of the walkthrough is establishing whether refinishing is actually the right purchase for you.
