Interior painting is the repainting and finishing of the surfaces inside your home. For most projects that means walls and ceilings, but it also covers the detail work that makes a room look finished: trim, baseboards, interior doors and crown molding.

Some jobs are a single room. Others are a whole house at once, which is usually the better value, because the crew is already set up, masked off and working from the same batch of paint.

How we do it

Our process on this job

We start by walking the space with you, so the quote reflects the room you are both standing in rather than a guess made over the phone.

Then it is our standard five steps. Furniture gets moved to the center and covered, floors get protected, and every hole, crack and nail pop gets patched and sanded. Primer goes on where the surface calls for it — bare patches, stains, big color changes. Then two full coats of paint, cut in by hand at the ceiling line and the trim. At the end we clean up, put your rooms back, and walk the job with you.

Do you offer a warranty on your work?

Yes. We provide a 2-year workmanship warranty on our painting projects. If something we did is not holding up the way it should, we come back and put it right.

What kind of paint do you use?

We give you options rather than one product. There are different quality tiers at different price points, and we will talk through which makes sense for your project and your budget. What does not change is the preparation and the workmanship — those stay the same whichever paint you pick.

Do I need to move my furniture before you paint?

No. We move furniture to the center of the room and cover it, and we protect the floors and fixtures before anything gets opened. We do ask you to put away small valuables and anything breakable you would rather handle yourself.

How many coats of paint do you apply?

Two full coats, over primer where the surface needs it. Two coats is written into the quote as standard, not offered as an upgrade partway through the job.

Can you match the texture on my existing walls?

Yes. We do our own drywall and texture work, so repairs get matched to what is already there — orange peel, knockdown, or a Level 5 smooth finish. A patch should disappear, not become the thing you notice.

Do you paint trim, doors and ceilings as well as walls?

Yes, and we would usually recommend it. Fresh walls against old trim tends to make the trim look worse than it did before. Trim, baseboards, doors, crown molding and ceilings can all go in the same quote.

Do you paint occupied homes, or do we need to move out?

Occupied homes are most of what we do. We work room by room so you keep the rest of the house, clean up at the end of each day, and plan the order of rooms around how you actually use them.
