Drywall, Texture & Ceiling Repair in Houston, TX

Drywall repair is the patching, replacing and refinishing of damaged wall and ceiling board so the surface reads as one continuous plane again. We repair, install and texture drywall across Houston, matching whatever finish is already on your walls, then paint it so the repair disappears instead of announcing itself.

What it is

Drywall, Texture & Ceiling Repair, explained

Drywall repair covers everything from a doorknob hole to a full sheet replacement after a leak. The work is not really the patch, it is the finish: taping, floating, sanding and texturing until the repaired area is indistinguishable from the wall around it.

We also install new drywall, build out walls, repair ceilings, and take off the two finishes people most want gone in older Houston homes: popcorn ceilings and wallpaper.

How we do it

Our process on this job

We look at the damage with you first and work out what caused it, because a crack that keeps coming back is a movement or moisture problem, not a patching problem. Repairing the surface without saying that would just sell you the same repair twice.

Then: cut back to sound board, replace or patch, tape and float the joints, and sand. Texture is matched to what is already on the wall — orange peel, knockdown, or floated flat to a Level 5 smooth finish if that is what you have. Then primer over the repair and paint, because bare joint compound absorbs paint differently and a patch you can only see in certain light is still a patch you can see.

How we do it differently

What separates our work in Houston

We match texture, not just fill holes

This is where most repairs fail. A patch floated flat into an orange peel wall is visible forever. We spray and knock back texture to match the surrounding surface, so the repair disappears.

We paint what we repair

Drywall and paint are the same trade in our shop, so there is no handoff between a patcher and a painter and no argument about who owns the finish. One crew, one result.

We tell you what caused it

Recurring cracks and stained ceilings usually have a source. We will point at it rather than quietly covering it, even when the honest answer is that you need a plumber or a roofer before you need us.

Our own crews, every time

Every project is completed by our own in-house team. We do not use subcontractors, so the person who quotes your project is accountable for the crew that shows up to do it.

Common questions

Drywall, Texture & Ceiling Repair questions, answered

Do you offer a warranty on your work?

Yes. We provide a 2-year workmanship warranty on our painting projects. If something we did is not holding up the way it should, we come back and put it right.

Can you match the texture on my existing walls and ceilings?

Yes, and it is the part of this job we would ask you to judge us on. Orange peel, knockdown or a Level 5 smooth finish, matched to the pattern already on your surface. A repair that is flat in a textured wall is a repair you will notice every day.

Do you paint the repair, or do I need a separate painter?

We paint it. Drywall and paint are the same trade here, so there is no handoff and no gap in accountability. Bare joint compound takes paint differently to the rest of the wall, so a repair that is not primed and painted properly stays visible even after a coat goes over it.

My popcorn ceiling is in an older house. Is that a problem?

Popcorn ceilings installed before the mid-1980s can contain materials that need to be tested before anything is scraped. If your ceiling is that age we will raise it with you before any work is scheduled, not after. Newer acoustic ceilings are a straightforward removal.

Why does the same crack keep coming back?

Because something is still moving or still wet. Settlement, framing movement, a roof leak or a plumbing leak will all reopen a cosmetic patch. We look for the cause first and tell you what we find, even when that means the honest answer is that another trade needs to go before us.

How much dust will this make?

Sanding drywall makes dust, so containment is part of the job rather than an afterthought. We seal off the work area, protect floors and cover what stays in the room, and clean up at the end of each day. We would still suggest moving anything you would rather not have near it.
